About Hive Hope
Hive Hope is a charity created to provide hope to the residents of North Northfleet and surrounding areas. This area has been identified as one of the neediest in terms of unemployment, low income & social deprivation.
There are 7600 residents in Northfleet North, 4.3% are unemployed which compares with an average of 2.9% in Gravesham. Our primary aim is to provide food for local people in crisis. We also want to create a place where local people can help each other when times are tough and strengthen community ties.
A strong christian ethos
With a strong Christian ethos Hive Hope does not judge those we serve but does all we can to meet their immediate needs and work with them to find longer term solutions. Hive Hope serves all those in need regardless of their beliefs.
The need for an organization like Hive Hope is growing. We have fed over 13,000 local people to date. To clarify, we have fed over 1600 different people on average eight times. Demand for our services has increased by over a third compared to the same period last year. Hive Hope works with other organizations to signpost clients to a whole range of support services including job searches, benefits advice, CV writing, debt advice and budgeting help.
